After several years without a major public event, Base Aérienne 115 Orange-Caritat opened its gates again on 28 and 29 June 2025 for its airshow. The event marked a new chapter for the famous French fighter base, which had recently transitioned from the legendary Mirage 2000C to the Dassault Rafale. Thousands of aviation enthusiasts from across Europe travelled to southern France to witness the return of an airshow at one of the Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace’s most historic fighter stations.

Arrival Day
On a scorching hot Friday, June 27th, with temperatures easily exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, the spotters and enthusiasts arrived while a few Rafales also flew a local mission. In terms of the participant lineup, this arrival day was not a standout event either. Foreign participants were limited to just two RAF Hawks. Aside from those, there were only French participants. The main attraction was, of course, formed by the locally stationed Rafales. However, there were also two PC-21s, two Mirage 2000s, a Puma, and a resident Fennec. The Rafale Solo Display from St. Dizier added some extra color to the event. Finally, there was a civilian OV-10 and a civilian Fouga CM-170 Magister. Although the number of aircraft might have been a bit disappointing, the photo opportunities more than made up for it.
