Ostrava hosts Central European largest airshow
The NATO Days in Ostrava, Czech Republic, is the largest air, army and security show in Central Europe. Its aim is to present the wide spectrum of the resources and the capabilities of the Czech Republic and its allies in the field of security provision. Each year the Czech membership in NATO is celebrated with spectacular air displays of military equipment. The NATO Ostrava Days promote and explain the mission and activities of the Alliance to the public. They are supported and funded by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division. The NATO Days consist of meetings, presentations, workshops and displays of military and security equipment culminating in the main event at Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport. During the event there is an opportunity to see military hardware exhibitions, police and rescue technology and dynamic shows of special units. The hightlight of the event is undoubtfully the air display with a great variety of aircraft and nationalities.
