Main purpose of preservation
Main purpose of the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight is to preserve and fly aircraft types that were operational in the Swedish Air Force. Four aviation enthusiasts started the initiative in 1997 and since then the number of aircraft and members has steadily increased in number. The business is managed by a board authorized by the Swedish Transport Agency and the work is carried out on a voluntary basis by certified pilots and technicians, most of them with an air force background. The aim is to paint and equip the civilly registered as at the time they flew in the Swedish Air Force.
